Established civil engineering, surveying & consulting firm seeking a full-time Professional Civil Engineer specializing in Municipal Consulting. Candidates must have the ability to demonstrate proven capability in the following areas:
- Knowledge of engineering practice related to municipal infrastructure and all types of site development.
- Development of plans and specifications according to standard engineering practice and municipal ordinances.
- Manage projects, and provide coordination and guidance to staff members.
- Consider design alternatives and value engineering for all projects.
- Resolve design challenges, and perform on-site investigations, as necessary.
- Meet with clients, attend municipal meetings, answer questions, and provide engineering support.
- Prepare contract documents, administer construction projects, and issue work change directives, change orders, and addendum.
- Provide close communication with team members, clients, contractors, elected officials, regulatory agencies, and the public.
- Support marketing and business development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Professional Engineers (PE) License is required.
- Minimum 5 years related job experience and experience with municipal consulting.
- Experience with MDOT Field Manager, Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record, ability to travel to job sites.
- Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.
